TODAY AND EVERY DAY at Axe Valley Academy we support our Young Carers. The facts are alarming if these incredible young people are ignored. Any student seeking help can speak to any member of staff and will have ongoing support from Mrs Horwood, Mr Reid and Mrs George (Year 7).

Mrs George is a Cover teacher here and a Year 7 tutor. She is here to support our Year 7 young carers.
We work together
Day of kindness
We held a day of kindness in memory of our dear friend and colleague Mr Cumming. Mr Cumming was Head of Anning House which is branded blue. Staff and students 'wore something blue' for Carers Trust. Our Young Carers personify kindness which is the value we associate with Mr Cumming. Students were encouraged to fill in thank you cards as they think about kindness they have been shown. Staff wore ribbons to honour Mr Cumming. These will also be awarded to students who have shown acts of kindness throughout the year. Money raised was to help fund some days out for our fabulous young carers
